If Seller’s listed item does not meet the standard refund policy, Seller must declare it clearly on the Website that “This listed item does not accept the Standard Refund Policy.” Seller need to state Seller’s own refund policy clearly right after this statement.
Seller should accept and process returns, refunds, and adjustments in accordance with this Store Agreement or Seller’s special refund policy which must be listed on the listings’ public view. Seller should determine and calculate the amount of all refunds and adjustments (including any taxes, shipping, or other charges) to Buyers for every transaction they have with the Seller.
If Seller’s product falls into a special category such as camp or boarding school for international students, Seller is allowed to request nonrefundable for the listings.
Step 1: Buyer requests refund.
Step 2: Seller reviews the request either approves or denies it based on the refund policy stated in this clause.
Step 3: If the refund request is approved by seller, STP will refund the transaction from Seller’s available Withdraw Balance. If Seller’s withdrawable balance is not enough, then the fund will start to be withdraw by using Seller’s Refund Protection Withhold. If it is still not enough, STP will charge Seller’s credit card to pay the refund.
Step 4: If the refund request is denied by seller, Seller need to provide evidence to explain and the explanation will be send to Buyer.
Step 5: If Buyer disagrees with the result, Buyer can file a claim. STP will perform an investigation and then make a final decision. If STP decides Seller needs to refund the Buyer, the refund will be processed by following Step 3 of the process described above. Any investigation will result a $120 investigation fee.
If the refund request is created after the first class/section or meet the store’s standard refund policy, STP will not involve the refund process and any arguments’ investigations.
For Seller’s each product, STP will withhold 20% of the sales from Seller’s every first transaction. Once the withhold reaches $5,000, STP will no longer withhold 20% from the sales. These funds will be used to help process customer refunds in the event there is any disagreement between Seller and buyers, and the STP investigation determines that Seller should refund the buyers. STP will investigate the situation based on transaction records in Seller’s account, the agreement between Seller and the buyers, and other relevant evidence to decide whether the buyers should receive refunds. If Seller’s listing program can be completed within a certain time frame, Seller can withdraw this Refund Protection Withhold once the program is completed. The fund will be refunded to Seller when Seller’s account is closed on the STP Access Website. If the Seller’s account is closed and reopened within a year, the withholding fund will start over again.
For sellers who have a good record of customer satisfaction and at least three years record with the website, the Seller may request to no withhold. STP will review Seller’s credit and make decision if the Refund Protection Withhold policy will need to apply to this seller or not.
